In the second part of the series of video tutorials on the topic of adding scripts to the Adobe InDesign menus, we consider the easiest way to add a new element to the context menu of the program.
How can one create an InDesign menu item for running a script from the user Scripts Panel folder without editing the code of the script? The new video provides an example of the simplest solution to the problem. The video is available on the site, as well as on the YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5J9wk7swFHw
New to the site
The site "SCRIPTS for InDesign" now has the English version. The button to switch between the versions is located on the left from the top menu (or above the left section) and under the main section of the site.
An update of the "Interface for Typical Operations" script to the version 2.03 from 09.11.2018. The appearance of the interface is adapted to the peculiarities of displaying the elements of the User Interface (Script UI) in the CC versions. As always, the script details and the download link are on the script page.
The site repairs
The site corrective repair work was done, as a result of which the "Feedback" and the newsletter features were corrected. If you tried to contact me through the "feedback" and did not receive a response, I apologize: I was not ignoring you, this was due to a bug. And, if you did not receive newsletters, I also apologize — this was due to a technical malfunction.
The video with the explanations on how the accent placement script works, which was shown in the previous video "Fast placement of accents in Adobe InDesign", was added to the article "Quick Formatting". You can see it on the article page, or on YouTube: "Fast placement of accents. With explanations".
