New (old) script
This script was created back in 2010, and even posted on the Web, but here on the author’s site, it has been undeservedly forgotten for some time, like some other scripts. At the same time, it has not lost its relevance, even though Adobe InDesign has already gone through so many versions. Time to correct this mistake and let this script take the place it deserves.
The script RemoveCharStylesFromText.jsx removes character styles from text formatted with certain paragraph styles. The process is fully user-driven. Read more on the script page.
In the next, fourth, part of the video tutorials of the series “Adding a Script to the Menu”, we will write a script for converting a square into a rhombus (diamond shape) and add it into the corresponding menu of Adobe InDesign.
In the third part of a series of video tutorials on the topic of adding a script to the Adobe InDesign menu, we try to use the code from the previous video in the Creative Cloud versions and derive a universal way of adding the script to the menu for all versions and localizations.
In the second part of the series of video tutorials on the topic of adding scripts to the Adobe InDesign menus, we consider the easiest way to add a new element to the context menu of the program.
How can one create an InDesign menu item for running a script from the user Scripts Panel folder without editing the code of the script? The new video provides an example of the simplest solution to the problem. The video is available on the site, as well as on the YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5J9wk7swFHw
